Notes
Frame Relay requires the use of a Router and a Channel Service Unit/Data Service Unit (CSU/DSU) that connects the router to the phone company’s circuit.

Frame
Relay is an Internet connection method that offers far greater reliability,
security and speed than DSL. While DSL operates at about 768K for
downloading and 128K for uploading, Frame Relay is symmetrical. It
can be purchased in transmission rate increments starting at 56K and
going to 128K, 384K, and then T1, and the speed will remain constant
for both uploading and downloading.
The cost of Frame Relay may be high for individual or very small group users, but it is very economical for larger companies because it is cheaper than a point-to-point private connection (e.g., T1) and the cost remains the same regardless of the number of networked terminals.
WebPerception recommends Frame Relay for companies such as medical offices, day trading firms, real estate brokerages, or e-commerce sites that provide mission critical services.
