Note: When travelling we recommend leaving your email on the server so that when you arrive back home or work you can download it again locally.

Below are instructions for leaving email on the server with:
Microsoft Outlook Express
  1. Click "Tools," then click "Accounts"
  2. Select the account you wish to modify, and then press "Properties"
  3. Click the "Advanced" tab
  4. Near the bottom of this window, there is a "Delivery" section, with several checkboxes
  5. Enable the checkbox entitled "Leave mail on server." You may wish to check the other boxes, "Remove from server after ___ days," or "Remove from server after deleted from 'deleted items.'"

Below are instructions for leaving email on the server with:
Netscape Messenger
  1. Click "Edit" and then click "Preferences."
  2. Expand the "Mail & newsgroups" option, and click "Mail Servers."
  3. Select the mail server you wish to modify on the right side of the window, and click "Edit."
  4. Click on the tab entitled "POP" and select the checkbox labeled "Leave messages on server."
