Permanent Lifetime Email Accounts

Q. How is a WebPerception email account different than any other?
A. Well, there are three important differences. Let's go over them:
  1. First, your WebPerception Email account is a permanent, lifetime account. Under normal circumstances, an Internet user may change ISPs (Internet Service Providers, which provide your Internet access) a few times throughout their life. When this happens, the mailbox that your ISP provided simply disappears leaving you with a lot of lost contacts and probably even some lost email. With WebPerception email accounts this is never a problem.
  2. Second, WebPerception email accounts means one-time configuration of your favorite email software. No need to change those settings each time your Internet access situation changes.
  3. Third, the ability to add new, fully-functional WebPerception email accounts for your office staff, friends, and loved ones is simple, fast, and inexpensive. If you are an information manager who needs an additional mailbox for a new staff member, we'll have it ready within twenty four hours. Extra mailboxes are now No problem!

Q. What are the costs associated with owning a WebPerception email account?
A. WebPerception charges $5 a month, billed quarterly in advance, for our fully functional POP3 Internet mailboxes. There is a one-time setup fee of $5, and there are no hidden charges .

Q. What is a POP3 mailbox?
A. A POP3 mailbox is an independent, fully functional mailbox which sends and receives your Internet email, and allows your email client software (i.e. Netscape, Explorer, Eudora, etc.) to log in and download your email off our server. (This is different from a forwarded mailbox, which simply passes an email message along to another address without ever storing it.)

Q. Can I use WebPerception email accounts for mail forwarding to myself? For example, can I have two accounts (i.e.sales@WebPerception.com and info@WebPerception.com) which are automatically forwarded to my main account (i.e. SamL@WebPerception.com)?
A. Absolutely. We can perform just about any kind of email forwarding you need done. We can even forward your email to a destination outside of WebPerception. Forwarded mailboxes cost half as much as our normal mailboxes ($2.50 a month).

Q. How do I go about choosing a WebPerception email domain name?
A. Mailbox domain names are simply the address where email is sent- not the user name. It's like getting mail delivered at the right street but without anyones name or house number on it- the mail gets there but no one knows who it's for! The domain name you choose is simply the one you like best- and yes, you can change domain names quite simply should you decide to do so later.

Q. How do I go about choosing a WebPerception email username (i.e. yourname@yourdomain.com)?
A. Each mailbox username must be unique to our system. For example, it is very unlikely that "Peter" is available, so a combination of first and last names is usually a good choice (i.e. YourName@WebPerception.com). If you choose a username which has already been taken, then we'll simply go to the next entry on your form until we find one. Also, certain characters are not allowed. For example, a username cannot contain spaces, periods, or dashes. WebPerception will supply your password.

Q. Who runs WebPerception's email?
A. WebPerception is run by internet professionals with a proven track record for product stability. We also provide a host of Internet based services, including Web Site Design and Hosting, Internet Marketing, and much more.

Q. Ok, I'd like to make use of your service. What's the next step?
A. Simply print, fill out, and mail or hand deliver, our Personal Form to us at the address indicated. We bill for these services in quarterly increments, and the first quarter is due upon our receipt of the form. You can mail the form to us with your check or money order. (The account can not be activated until payment is received.)

Q. How do I set up my email software (e.g.Netscape, Explorer, etc.) to check my new WebPerception Email account?
A. It's very simple to do this, and it only has to be done once. Follow this simple Configuration sheet to setup your WebPerception Email account, and you'll be all set!

Q. How soon can I have my mailbox up and running?
A. Typically we can create a mailbox, check it out, and have it up and running within one business day from the time we receive the form. If there are problems (illegal character in username, illegible handwriting, etc.), it will take longer of course. If you need it rushed then make a note on the form, and we'll do our best to hurry it through.
